Some of the best travel photographs of 2016 have been recognized in one of the competitions with the highest participation: Siena International Photo Awards 2016.
This last edition has counted with 50,000 images from 130 countries. Today we look at the award-winning images in the travel category that impress by their color, diversity, intensity, tenderness but, above all, because they seem to cross the screen and convey feelings.

This image of the strawberry greenhouses in Turkey makes us feel joy and vitality by the colors perfectly captured by the photographer, Leyla Emektar, who waited for the peasant to enter the plane to shoot. Her headband in intense pink and her dress contrasting in green complete the chromatic palette of a perfect shot.

The photographer, Matjaz Krivic, helped this kid to fix his shoes to follow his flock.

Antonius Andre Tjiu photographed this floating market in the south of Borneo.

Hoang Long Ly photographed these Vietnamese women repairing fishing nets in a village near Bac Lieu, a seaside district located in southern Vietnam in the Mekong Delta region.

This photograph of James Rushforth causes us vertigo. In it we see Monte Piana (2324m) in the Italian Dolomites, above the small town of Misurina during the International Highline Festival. The mountain is popular between walkers, who come to take advantage of the numerous buttresses of the mountains, suspending ropes between the spectacular cliffs and then trying to walk over the lagoons.
