De-icing is one of the most visible effects of climate change. Arctic glaciers have been suffering from these consequences for decades, and they are gradually disappearing. Glaciers are a clear testimony to the aftermath of global warming.
Christian Aslund, is a Swedish photographer who works with Greenpeace as an activist in defense of glaciers. The photographer made a series of photographs of the glaciers at the beginning of the century to counter them with other historical preserved by the Instituto Polar de Noruega to support the campaign #MyClimateAction, a National Geographic initiative in protest against the perforation of the Arctic by the Oil companies. In the images we show you below you can clearly see the effects of thawing.
