50,000 photographs from 95 countries competed in 2016 for the title ofWildlife Photographer of the Year. Tim Laman, with an image of a species of endangered orangutan climbing a tree in the middle of the Indonesian rainforest, has won the prize.
To take the picture, the photographer spent three days climbing the 30-meter-high tree with several Go-Pro cameras that he could shoot by remote control.

This photography of the moon and the crow is the winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year in the young competition. His author, Gideon Knight, from UK, has seen so many times the same scene in the picture but never as beautiful as the night he took the picture.

The best photos of the contest are showed in an exhibition on the London National History Museum untill setember 2017.
