Photographer Joel Santos traveled for four days in the depths of northern Mongolia to find the Ganbaas. Besides living in a wonderful place but difficult to access because of the low temperatures and mountains, one of the most striking things for us of this family are its reindeer. For us they are little more than an adorable Christmas ornament, but for them they are a way of life, accompany them at every step they give and need them for things as basic as moving from one place to another and get food like milk or cheese.

Even the youngest of the family have from very young their own reindeer to whom they have a very special relationship.
