Until next May 14 La Térmica de Málaga hosts the exhibition "Michel Compte: Portraits", in which we can see some of the images taken by the photographer of fashion or cinema celebrities.
DiChroma Photography, along with curator Suzanne Speech, has been in charge of choosing 40 color and black and white photographs, among which are many portraits of movie stars, models and designers, as well as nudes.
Self-taught, Michel Compte was discovered by Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld and from that moment his career began to emerge, especially in the world of fashion where he worked for the best designers and collaborated with the most relevant publications of the sector.
The woman and her portrait are the most recurrent theme of his artistic production, especially highlighting his capture of the essence of each of his models. It stands out for knowing how to freeze the expression that best reflects the personality of the person who owns it.
The photographs can be seen until May 14 at La Térmica (Avenida de los Guindos, 48. Málaga). Exhibition hours: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00. Closed Monday.
