An exhibition about women on the street photo before photographic social networks

AT > BLOG

Garry Winogrand was a master of street photography long before it became almost a photographic genre in itself with constant media attraction and spotlights. "Prince of the Street" was his nickname in the mid-1970s when there was no corner, celebrity or detail that escaped his goal. In his photography there is an important space for women. Winogrand captured their beauty with extraordinary talent in his photographic work in the street.

He shares another space closely linked to fashion, the German Peter Lindbergh. In his photographs of the street we can see how he transferred to this photographic genre the characteristics that make his work special in the fashion photo, focusing on the individual above the character. Lindberg manages to portray women who are unique, special, self-confident and strong.
